Games not running - tuga703 - 04-24-2012 06:43 AM I have installed Tiggit and downloaded a few games, however when I try to play them nothing happens, I have waited a few minutes but still nothing. I have tried double clicking and Play Now button but nothing. I have also tried another PC and the same problem occurs. Both PCs are running Windows XP. Can anyone else confirm whether this is an XP issue? The first thing you could try is the following: right-click the installed game in the list, and select "Open Location". Then try to run the game exe manually. Not exactly a fix, but it lets us check if the games have been installed correctly. Also, are you using any strange antivirus software? I have heard about cases where some AV software just deletes files it suspects, with no reason or warning, even though that is probably very rare. RE: Games not running - tuga703 - 04-24-2012 08:02 AM Open location does nothing either, however, I can manually find and run the games. One of the machines is using AVG which thinks Tiggit is a virus and the other has no antivirus software. RE: Games not running - tuga703 - 04-25-2012 01:30 AM I have tried Tiggit on my laptop I got back today and it works, it is running windows XP 64 bit if that helps, the other two are running 32 bit. Could you try the latest update? It doesn't fix anything, but I fixed the error reporting so at least it shouldn't fail silently. Maybe the error message can give a clue to what is happening. (Try both running a game and clicking "Open Location", preferably.) |
