A chat room perhaps?
I know this forum is already social enough but perhaps an in-built chat room (or maybe IRC?) could strengthen the community here.

I can imagine that will need some web programming know how (dont look at me Tongue) and will take time.
This is not a must have feature, it is nothing more than a suggestion.

RE: A chat room perhaps?
I feel an IRC channel not only would fill this role, but would be nice to see. Though it wouldn't be within the application, there would be 0 development cost ^.^

There are several web irc clients as well that are simple to setup. For example:

I do agree about using IRC, means more features we may actually need like a destroy Origin button Wink Tongue

How easy is it to setup an IRC channel?

It takes a single command to "create" a channel. Just "/join #channelName" on an IRC server. >D Until nico declares another server/channel as official, it is where I will be idling in ^.^ (click above link to join it via browser)

server: chaos.esper.net:5555
channel: #tiggit

Building an IRC into the launcher could be pretty fast, actually. This looks like it's easy to use: http://www.ulduzsoft.com/libircclient/ . We could have an "IRC" tab next to the latest news tab, for example.

Do you guys think this is something we should do? It would just be one global chatroom for everybody, that could get a bit messy.

I guess this would be a bit confusing for people who just want to use Tiggit for what it is. IMO it's better to keep the community and the actual program apart from each other. It would also reduce the lightweight facter of it - I like that Tiggit takes almost no resources, and that it is so minimalistic.

I'd say though, the community and your developement might benefit from an IRC channel - especially if you plan to receive help by others. Just create a thread on the server/channel location, and maybe how to set it up on the main OS (like mirc for Windows).
